Why do you want to be a member of the Dallas City Council, and why are you the best person for the job?
How A City Council person votes in the Dallas City Hall makes a difference. Current council has voted against pay raises and hiring of police officers. Have voted to defund police .Voted to give tax breaks for 1 or 2 developers. Homelessness, public safety issues and litter and long stretched city funded construction projects are disturbing. Overlooked for decades Community like Arlington park neighborhood recreation centers etc. Higher city hall spending has led to higher cost of housing. As real property taxes have increased. Budget and spending of multiple parks funds and Darts 600million contract need transparency and accountability. It has led to Dallas being Hard to business in and lots store fronts have closed. It’s not the years a person has lived in the city or worked in the city hall . Or their economic status.- What matters is the honesty and integrity ,courage to take action for the benefit of the people of the city. I am an Independent and above political corruption. I have made over 100 service calls at 311 and police and with state entities to improve my long overlooked neighborhood. I can do better than current council.
What is the single greatest challenge for your district and how will you address it?
Homelessness, streets flooding and potholes, city construction projects not done properly, stretched out many years driving cost up and tents colony and drugs activities near it. Public safety, shop lifting. Store fronts closing, Higher rents and real property taxes.
What do you see as the greatest opportunities to grow our city's tax base?
Dallas love field airport with city limit and parks, museums and arts centers and AT&T stadium, UTSW medical district. Strong financial and banking industry. Need public safety and lower real property taxes. So the residential and commercial sectors are able to thrive. And attract more investment and visitors to the Great city of Dallas Texas.
What is your political party affiliation and what role will that play in your job as a council member?
I have always been independent. I rise above the political corruption and vote for best interests of the people.
